At Rebel Canines, we believe that every dog deserves to live their best life—full of fun, adventure, and a little bit of mischief. Using positive reinforcement, LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) methods, and a science-based approach, we turn spirited dogs into well-behaved companions without compromising their unique personalities. Our goal is to empower both dogs and their owners to embrace the journey of growth, learning, and connection. Kelsey brings both practical expertise and a strong academic foundation to her work. She is committed to using a scientific, real-life approach to dog training that is tailored to each individual dog. Believing in the Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) method, Kelsey prioritizes humane, effective techniques to improve behavior without the use of force or aversives.


Kelsey recognizes that every dog is unique and may require different strategies to thrive in their specific environment. Her goal is to empower dog owners with the knowledge and tools to build lasting, positive relationships with their pets.

A rebel dog is considered  a dog that disobeys authority or training — a mischievous or independent dog that doesn’t follow commands, escapes the yard, or acts on its own terms.  


At Rebel Canines our belief is your dog’s boldness isn’t a flaw — it’s their fire. Our training doesn’t aim to “break” your dog’s spirit, but to harness their natural instincts, drive, and personality into a balanced, loyal companion. 

 

We work with your dog’s rebellious nature — not against it. Whether they’re the escape artist, the stubborn thinker, or the fearless explorer, we guide them to channel that independence into focus, discipline, and trust.


Through structured, breed-informed training, we teach your dog how to thrive in the world while still being uniquely them — wild-hearted, loyal, and unapologetically bold.

 At Rebel Canines, we use science-backed, least-intrusive, minimally-aversive training methods. We focus on positive reinforcement for teaching behaviors and tailor behavior modification to each dog’s unique needs. While we believe every tool has its place, our priority is always your dog’s long-term welfare—not quick fixes. Our goal is to empower you with the skills to manage and support your dog for life. 

The cost of our services varies depending on the type of training and the duration of the sessions. Please contact us for specific pricing information.

We are currently offering services in the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia - Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Coquitlam, Port Moody. 


We also offer private sessions outside of these areas by request! 

It is real world obedience! Tricks and manners are fun, but it is important to teach your dog every day life skills. We do scenario based training that can be applied to real world situations. We are talking things like; proper socialization, "place" or down time,  and generalizing obedience behaviours in real situations such as sit/stay/heel.

Per hour: Includes Everything Puppy, Functional Obedience and other inquiries

Behaviour/ Reactivity Sessions

$150

Per session: Multiple Sessions recommended. Does not include cost of potential tools. 

Puppy / Group Classes

$250

Please inquire about future dates! 5 sessions - 1 hour each
